it is so peaceful in our house tonight. brenda is already in bed and jojo is still at my in laws. nic and aj have found something to do that doesnt consist of yelling, wrestling or tv. the rule around here is no tv, video games, computer during the school week so they have to come up with things to occupy their time. usually i'm telling myself who came up with that stupid rule anyway? cuz i just want them to plop down infront of the tv and be quiet. thanks to uncle dennis who bought nic this game for xmas they have really enjoyed playing it.
today was full of rare moments. for dinner tonight i made beef stew. which i didnt want any part of it but once nic smelled it and sampled it he kept saying so yummy.... all i wanted for dinner was toast with butter and grape jelly. how could i serve my kids stew and make them eat it and not me. i was really happy watching nic enjoy it so much. he kept telling aj "you really need to eat your carrots and celery because they are healthy foods." go figure.... i did finish my dinner with my toast and jelly and i thought that was yummy. for some reason my sweet tooth is back full force. my gestational diabetes test came back just fine infact my sugar is really low so maybe thats why i'm craving sugar so i better listen to what my body is telling me,lol.
