today was an awesome day. we had nicholas' parent conference and things actually went really well. the teacher was telling me things i already knew about him but now i'm glad she see's it also. she also asked if he would be returning next year so i knew i had to be honest and tell her not if he makes it into the charter school. she did ask which one because she's been around applying at them.
aaaahhhhh!!!!!! all i need is her to get a job at the new school and be his teacher again next year. at the charter school classrooms are mixed, k-1, 1-2 and so on. anywho, she said she liked the academics there but the school is too small and crowded. all i have to say if she were to be his teacher next year, "god i am totally listening to you and this is where you want him." that could only be god talking to me ha ha.....
the boys and i played outside a bit this afternoon. as you can see hopscotch was the game of choice. nic is so funny he is such a big boy and real "heavy" in the things he does. i know some 2nd graders that are his same size and they are considered the "big" boys in their class. hum, what does that make this kindergartner????
i'll leave you with a funny from a.j. he will probably wanna kill me for posting this but here it goes.
we had a dr's appt. last week and we had to sign all the stacks of forms. now that he's older i thought i'd review them with him so he is part of the process. i came across the hippa form, you know the one all about your privacy... well i told a.j.- "this form is about your privacy..." his response- "mom why do they need to know about my privacy?"
incase you don't know aj real well thats what he has always called his boy parts. he was a little freaked out that the dr had a form for me to sign all about his "privacy" so anyway i got a good laugh out of that.
