whats a girl to do......

when she has a 50% coupon in her hand? well, buy the biggest scrapbook ever known to man. it is 18x18 and very heavy. i was balancing it on top of my head and jason said that's probably the only way i can carry it. i know exactly what i'm gonna use it for, all my pictures 8x10 and larger and the kids school work. cool yeah? although, i might have to use it as a rememberance book for my 12 yr. old because this being the first week of summer break we are already having "issues". his words this morning "i never get a break around here." my response, "too bad!!!". i am totally starting to love the newborn stage with all the sleepless nights and all that comes with it. anything but the stage a.j. is in.

now here is the soon to be 1st grader. isnt he precious? for the most part we all know how nicholas is but for some reason he still catches me off guard at times. how can a 6 yr. old be so darn smart? his new thing for the last couple days, guitar hero. i'm gonna try and get him on video cuz he sure gets into it. guitar hero has different levels to "master" when jonathan asked him why he doesnt play the hard level his response, "well, there is no time to scratch my butt." so i guess the hard level is way to fast for him to be able to do the important stuff.
this was my conversation with him last night.
nic: mom look what i did with the guitar hero
me: oh yeah
nic: mom dont answer me like that.
mom: like what?
nic: like your just answering me and not really paying attention. your just saying it like,"oh yeah whatever whatever"
at this early age he already has his mother figured out. note to self, ask mother in law how she stayed a step ahead of jason (cuz nic and jay are exactly the same)
one last thing, i have to thank my in laws for being the best ever. i was watching jojo at church on sunday and when praise and worship started he was clapping and having a good time. i know he couldve only learned that from them. i truly appreciate and love my father and mother in law. so anyhoo, thank you mama toe and poppa ernie...
