My Grandma Lipa passed away. i asked my mom this morning if it would make me a bad person if i said i was really happy for my grandma. like i said before she lived a long full life and i know she was ready. there will be no more hurt or pain for her, she is now in a better place and will be able to rest in peace. we all have different memories of people and i will share one i have of my grandma. when i was a little girl a cousin of mine would chase me with my grandmas dentures. she knew i hated it and would do it over and over. every time i would be screaming through my grandmas house and yard. then i would see my hero at the back door, my grandma. she would grab the broom and chase her around trying to hit her with it. she was saving me from those fake teeth!!!! i know many will think thats a ridiculous memory to hold on to but thats okay i dont think so. i have others but for some reason thats the one i always think about. now that i think about it i dont know if my cousin did it to see me scream or to get my grandma to react.
my mother is probably gonna get mad at me for posting this picture of her but i think she will get over it (eventually). this was taken here at my house mothers day may 14, 2006.
if i could ask for everyone to keep my mother in their prayers. she is the one i worry about through all of this. maybe a little one for me wouldnt hurt. i need help keeping my mouth shut i have to remember i can tell them they are idiots at another time. i keep repeating a favorite quote of mine- NEVER ARGUE WITH AN IDIOT- PEOPLE WATCHING MAY NOT BE ABLE TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE.

what great pictures and what a wonderful memory of your grandma. Forget the teeth, all you knew was that grandma was coming to rescue you! Your mama is in our prayers and we've even included you and your sister.
We'll be praying for you guys. What a funny memory. Those are the best kind.
