I now have a sophomore, 8th grader and of course a 1st grader in the house. I wish i could say i have a preschooler also but that hasnt happened just yet... still begging, i mean still working on that one, lol.
of course i have to take first day of school pictures with new clothes, shoes and backpacks. look at brenda stylin' with her new stuff. we can thank my sister for all her great school stuff because she bought it all for her. she asked me if she could buy brenda her stuff this year and who am i to refuse her of being a wonderful auntie. you would think she didnt have kids of her own to buy for. I guess that shows how much she loves my kids. when the cashier gave her the total she was a bit shocked. she said that would have been two pair of jeans for her boys. Maybe next time i will let her buy one of my other kids that has expensive taste,lol...totally kidding sister!!! i truly appreciate all you do for all of us....
here brenda looks like she is busting out with some dance moves. she did so well on her first day of 10th grade, i was really proud of her. she woke up and fell back into the groove of things. I was able to cut her bangs and put earrings on her. She hasnt worn earrings in about 12 years.

now for my 8th grader...just look at that face. he was upset because i needed a picture and he ran out of the house hiding from me. it wouldve been easier if he would have just let me take it in the beginning because i did chase him and ran around the front yard yelling for him. he didnt want his picture taken, he didnt want a ride to school it seemed like he didnt want or need a whole lot from me this morning. In a big a way thats great but in a small way it made me sad. after school he said everything went fine except for lunch because the 7th and 8th graders share a lunch and the 7th graders act like they own the cafeteria. of course we all know its the 8th graders who own the entire school.........................

here is where i forced him to give me a decent picture and he listened. of course the only picture he really wanted to take was of him and his sister. i've always known he loves his sister but it really has been coming out more and more lately. He is really turning out to be a great kid. Jason asked him if he had all the fine chics in his classes and aj said, well, i really dont talk about those things with my parents. alrighty then so we moved on to another subject.

even though he is older i still took a picture of his new backpack. i think one day he will appreciate looking back at all his first day photos and seeing all the different backpacks he had. okay so maybe not but i will continue thinking that. he's lucky i didnt make him "pose" his new shoes for a picture because i usually do that too but i figured he had already given me enough of his time. Look at the back of his head he looks like he has a bald spot. tomorrow i'm gonna have to look because i dont remember that being there.
oh yeah, i should add that he is darn lucky to have jason around because if not i would be at the school taking his picture at his desk in first period. after typing all this out i think my poor children have a FREAK for a mother.......
