Lunch with the principal

Today was the day!!!! I worked in his class today and was able to walk him to the office for lunch. It figures my camera battery would be dead so I had to use my cell phone. I really couldnt tell if he was excited or not.
Out of all my kids I can tell if they are happy, mad or telling a lie, but with Nicholas I have a hard time. He's a funny kid in his own way and a lot like his dad that is probably why those two are like oil and water. There will be times I think he's not interested or paying attention and I will be completely wrong. He will know every detail and remember it all for later use. I have to let his teachers know from the start that he will make you think he has no clue whats happening but truthfully he probably knows what they are teaching before they do.
Getting ready for school he put his same ol' favorite camouflage pants on and I told him to change into something a little nicer because today was the day. I made him wear the pants he hates and he didnt put up a fight. I guess that right there tells me he was excited.....
