Its Wednesday

and that means we are almost to the weekend. we have Nicholas' parent conference this afternoon so lets see how that goes. The teacher has requested for him to attend because she wants to work on his self confidence. Anyone that knows him would think he is full of it, but really at school he's not. Heck, who knows maybe he's just pulling a fast one on the teacher so he doesnt have to do too much work. If he is as much like his father as I think he is I do believe that might be it. He's not gonna let anyone know just how smart he is because then people would require more out of him.

Nicholas would just fall over angry with me if he knew i was posting about this but here it goes. He got into trouble at school last friday and ended up with a TAG and detention. oh, did that make for a terrible night at our house. I'm hoping he is gonna be good and not get into a lot of trouble because just watching his reaction just about killed me. He got in trouble because he was playing in the kindergarten area at recess and there isnt teacher supervision in that area. I remember AJs TAGs that he "earned" one was for throwing snowballs at other students and the other was for throwing rocks. ok, those i see TAG worthy but nic's i'm just not too sure...???? I guess whatever it takes to keep him safe.

Now I will tell you how my tuesday was all because of my lovely wonderful teenage son. I'm working at Nics school and I get a text from AJ- "mom come to my school now" my heart is beating out of control because i'm thinking he must have gotten into a fight and needs me immediately. So, I text him back- "why?". At this point he calls me.

AJ- "Mom, I need you to sign my permission slip to watch a movie later today."

mom- (taking a breath totally relieved) ok but i cant be there until after 11:45.

AJ- "ok, just before 6th period. oh yeah, can you bring all of us popcorn for the movie?"

mom- (again, totally relieved and in a good mood now) "sure no problem!"

So I get all three little kiddos (helen, jojo, sunnie) we go to walmart for popcorn. walmarts machine is broken and they dont have any. Now onto target with the same little kiddos. in and out of carseats, screaming, I want to go home and eat now!!!!!. Target has popcorn so thats a good thing. I buy $10.00 worth of the crap and head out to AJ's school. I call him out of class to sign the permission slip and give him all the popcorn. What does he tell me? AJ- "oh, mom we arent watching the movie today, because nobody finished their research paper."

mom- " so does that mean i didnt need to come over here today?"

AJ- "yeah.. can you save the popcorn for tomorrow?"

Mom- "um, NO!!!! you will eat every last kernel for dinner..."

I wouldve made him eat it until i realized he was liking that idea. I stopped by Nicholas' school and gave it to his class. So there!!!!!

He is sooooo lucky i was in such a good mood because witnesses or not I wouldve killed him!!!! (lol). Just for the record, I normally wouldnt run to the school to sign a permission slip that I'm sure has been in his back pack for a week but what can I say?...... I was in a good mood.
