Nicholas is now 7 yrs old....

I cant believe it!!!! I remember when we found out we were pregnant with him. I thought I would be the one to cry but oh no jason took over that role. I just kept telling him it will be ok i promise. the whole time thinking what the heck I should be the one crying. 7 yrs later i wouldnt change a thing.

this has to be one of the coolest gifts ever. Jason's aunt juanie knew nicholas wants to learn the violin. When she couldnt find her son's she went out and bought him one. really it isnt so much the actual violen that i think is great ( dont get me wrong cuz i do think its great) I love the idea of juanie knowing something one of my kids is interested in and taking it upon herself to drive around town looking for it. Being a mom and it always makes me feel wonderful when people care for my kids like i do. If nicholas is anything like his father, which we all know he is exactly like him. He is gonna make a great musician.

I have to say my last post about being the worst mother ever might just be a bit off..

today i could say I am one proud mom!!!

Nicholas came home with a letter from school.

Congratulations for being a caring student at ADO

Your teacher has identified you as being a caring student this year. You were chosen to represent your grade level for the month of january. I would like to invite you to have lunch with me to celebrate! signed, Mrs.principal

It went on to say a few more things but that was the most important to me. so nicholas will be eating burger king with the principal on thursday. how fun is that...

wait just a minute because that is not all..... aj said, oh mom i have some papers for you.

dear parent, the tri-m music honor society is an international program dedicated to the recognition of exceptional music students in grades 6-12 that meet the music, academic, leadership, and character criteria asked of every tri-m member. Tri-m is a program of menc. the national association for music education, which is the largest arts education association in the world. you will be pleased to know that AJ has been selected at CMS as a candidate for tri-m student membership. after returning this acceptance form, the candidate will be inducted into the honor society as a new member at a formal membership presentation ceremony.

it is great pleasure to announce that your child qualified for the regional science fair as a regional qualifier. this is a great honor- for your child has been selected to represent CMS at the northwest regional science fair at UNM. Once again congratulations on winning the school science fair! you are truly the best that CMS has to offer...

Ok, by the middle of the last letter i couldnt take it anymore and I cried. both aj and jason laughed at me but i couldnt help it. I am so proud of my kids and its just nice to know other people see how great they really are.
