pajama day, zoo field trip and new hair.....

how great is being able to wear your pajamas all day???? well, nicholas and helen's school had pj day yesterday 5/19. I didnt think it was very fair for the two of them to be the only ones to wear pj's so we all joined in. truthfully i cant believe i actually did it. It sounded like a really great idea when i first thought of it but later in the day as i was running from sams club to the middle school to talk to the principal and a few other errands it didnt seem as great. I guess i didnt mind too much because i wore the things until it was time to get ready for bed.... how funny is that, I had to take off my pjs to get ready for bed.

another field trip to the zoo... UGH!!!! I cant even tell you how many times i've seen the zoo, aquarium and the botanic gardens in the past two months.... I think the animals are starting to recognize us lol.
how sweet is this face? the kids fed the ducks as we were exiting..... i think if helen had her way we would still be there feeding them....

here we are on the shooting up water thingy.... my kids know the proper name of it but they're all asleep so i cant ask them. I figured helen wanted to get wet because it was so darn hot outside. now i think you can really see the pink in my hair.. YAY!!!! i think my hairdresser got tired of me going back for more pink she finally just let me have it.. I know its not the color everyone would choose but thats ok because i dont have everyones hair, lol.

I think these are the animals that recognized us.. I think the gorillas are my kids favorite.. It seems to be the same every time, "oh aj look there you are...", "nicholas, that one looks like you.". for some reason its just as funny to hear them as it was the first time.
the kid in the blue tshirt is my son, nicholas. yup, he now has a mohawk. i never thought i would be THE MOTHER that allowed her child to do that... you know what? its only hair and it will eventually grow back and well, if it doesnt he could always go bald..... Being his mother i think he still looks cute as ever..... I do have to say as of lately he has the attitude to match that hair. The mohawk can stick around i'm just hoping the attitude disappears fast.
As i was watching some of the mothers today i had to laugh.... why? well, we let the kids play in the play structure thing (think mcdonalds play area). A few of them were running around constantly looking for their kids. After hearing the 3rd mom say, "oh no where is my lil' guy!!!". I figured it was time for me to check on my kids. Aj was with helen and nicholas was running wild, just what i thought.... so i went back to watching all the other mothers. ok, so nicholas really wasnt running wild because i dont allow my kids to do that and i really didnt watch those mothers because i was too busy talking..... I will say this about one poor mom, i saw her at the beginning of the field trip and then again at the end. Her son is non stop, constantly, always and forever moving or running. ooooh, poor lady i bet she is fast asleep as i'm typing this.

I can totally relate on the field trips, how many times can you go to lets say Shark reef, our typical field trip. But the kids are the ones who enjoy it and that's what matters. Hair, I'd love to have a little pink in mine, the boys are always asking me to do mine blue.(NOPE) Mohawk for the summer, then maybe cut it for school.
cute pics of the kids.
